Not your father's definition of alcoholism: June 10


From a strictly medical standpoint, getting the disease of alcoholism into remission is simple:  Stop drinking.  (Admittedly, it is hard to do alone, and can be dangerous for severe alcoholics)  KEEPING the disease in remission takes a change in beliefs/values and sometimes lifestyle.
