Not your father's definition of alcoholism: June 17

Alcoholics don't feel the same sensation non-alcoholics get from the first one or three drinks or a six-pack.  We never have.  Likewise, when non-alcoholic Joe sees someone drink alcoholically, Joe's only frame of reference is how it makes Joe feel, not what the alcoholic feels.
