Not your father's definition of alcoholism: June 5

The idea that relapse is part of recovery is only partially true.  Nine of 10 ex-drinkers go back to alcohol... true.  Some don't make it back to sobriety.  And if the stats hold true, relapse is NOT part of the recovery of the one in ten who defied the odds.  Relapse can be part of recovery, but doesn't have to be, nor should it be a justification for letting sobriety lose its priority.
