Not your father's definition of alcoholism: June 5

The idea that relapse is part of recovery is only partially true.  Nine of 10 ex-drinkers go back to alcohol... true.  Some don't make it back to sobriety.  And if the stats hold true, relapse is NOT part of the recovery of the one in ten who defied the odds.  Relapse can be part of recovery, but doesn't have to be, nor should it be a justification for letting sobriety lose its priority.

Scroll down for the replay of the April 13 Sound Health Options show feature with Scott Stevens. Lucy Pireel's "All That's Written" included a feature on Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud called "When alcohol doesn't work for you anymore."  Details on the third literary award for Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud can be found on, plus an interview with Scott Stevens on Health Media Now and one at Christoph Fisher Books.  Mr. Fisher is an acclaimed international author from the UK, among his works is the Alzheimer's book "Time to Let Go."
