Not your father's definition of alcoholism: June 9

It's a lie we tell ourselves ... a justification ... that we never failed the family or employer because we were some sort of functional alcoholic.  Sure, an alcoholic can show up and even fool a few people.  No active alcoholic is a peak performer.  Being under the influence or plotting your next drink takes productivity out of work time and enjoyment out of family time.

Scroll down for the replay of the April 13 Sound Health Options show feature with Scott Stevens. Lucy Pireel's "All That's Written" included a feature on Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud called "When alcohol doesn't work for you anymore."  Details on the third literary award for Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud can be found on, plus an interview with Scott Stevens on Health Media Now and one at Christoph Fisher Books.  Mr. Fisher is an acclaimed international author from the UK, among his works is the Alzheimer's book "Time to Let Go."
