Not your father's definition of alcoholism: June 13

An alcoholic can recover without having a spiritual belief of any sort:  God or god or physical or metaphysical.  Question is, with medical science indicating health benefits of having a belief system, would someone want to embark on a life change, get sober and stay sober without something in which to believe?
